KEY TAKEAWAYS:

  • The impact of the COVID-19 crisis has been immediate for the on-premise channel. SipSource data showed a 50% decrease in depletions into on-premise accounts. A 95% decrease is being anticipated in the April numbers.

  • Drizly has acquired more new consumers in the past six weeks, than in the past 16 months in total.

  • Based on Drizly projections, they will need to triple the size of their retailer network to keep up with the current on-demand consumer needs.

  • The average retailer on Drizly in the month of April is going to do an average of $35,000 of product transaction.

  • The American alcohol ecosystem is versatile and adapts to consumer needs. This has allowed states to maintain all the safeguards and benefits of our distribution system while giving consumers the convenience they experience with other categories.

  • It is unlikely, the spike in off-premise sales will offset the losses experienced in the on-premise channel.
